Do you offer tastings?
We offer Customized Private Tastings. Couples who have received a custom proposal can schedule a private tasting to select their menu. We suggest scheduling a tasting once you have narrowed your search to your top 2-3 caterers. There is a $125 tasting fee.
Aside from food, what other fees are there?
There is an Industry Standard Production Fee, Labor, and Delivery for each event. These fees are unique to your event, location, rental needs, and other services requested.
Does staff stay onsite?
Our knowledgable and hospitality minded service team will remain onsite throught the food portion of your event. They will execute all food and beverage services, bussing of catering items from guest tables, venue kitchen or prep area clean up, wrapping of leftovers, and removal of catering trash.
What type of tableware do you provide?
We provide elegant disposable tableware, bamboo & palm compostable tableware, and full rental services of real tableware and decor.
Are you licensed & insured?
Absolutely! Our business is located in Independence, MO and is inspected by the Independence Health Department. We are fully insured and can provide documentation to you or your venue upon request.
We’d like to book! How do we reserve our date?
Text, call, or email today to get the process rolling. We will gather all of your important details and provide a customized proposal. A signed contract and 25% deposit will reserve your date.
Does your staff bus the tables?
Our staff will bus guest tables of all tableware, rentals, food items, and beverages provided by Dutzel's. There is an additional fee to handle rentals otherwise provided by the couple, the venue, or another vendor.
Do you provide linens?
You can rent table linens or linen napkins from us for your buffet line and/or guest tables. Rental fees for linens are determined by your table size and guest count.
When are payments due?
We require a non refundable deposit to reserve your date. A second payment is due midway between the date of deposit and your event. Final payment is due along with your final guest count 14 days prior to your wedding.
Can your staff cut our cake?
Yes! Our staff are specially trained to elegantly cut any wedding cake. Our service includes cake plates & forks. Cake Cutting service is an additional fee.
What happens to the left over food?
If your venue has a refrigerator, we will leave all leftover food with you. Food will be in full size disposable aluminum pans and will be covered with a lid. You can also choose to have us donate leftovers.
Do you work with dietary restrictions?
Absolutely, once you have a menu in mind, we can work with you on any specific accommodations.
